Makita routers and planers

The plunge router and trim router create edge profiles, grooves, and recesses in wood. The slot cutter makes grooves for joining boards. The planer smoothens and adjusts wooden surfaces, e.g., door edges.

Models with a Z-letter (e.g., DHP486Z) are tools only, without a battery or charger. If you already have a battery from the same platform, this is the most cost-effective choice. Sets include batteries, a charger, and often a Makpac case.

Makita tools have a 3-year warranty if you register them in the MyMakita environment within 4 weeks of purchase. Batteries, chargers, and accessories are not covered by the extended warranty.
